The pendant measures 1.6cm x 1.7cm and is made from solid Sterling silver, or gold plated over Sterling silver. The plating is an extra thick coating of 3 microns of 18 carat gold to ensure durability and long lasting wear.
This necklace was adapted from an original bronze Roman coin. It depicts Romulus and Remus, twin brothers who, according to legend, were suckled by a she-wolf and founded the city of Rome. The edges and surfaces are beautifully worn by the passage of time.
